Yoga originated in India, developed around 2,500 years ago. It involves various physical stretches and exercises often blended with mindful and spiritual meditation. There are many kinds of yoga, often used both as methods for attaining goals and for controlling the body and mind. As a way of life, yoga can be very rewarding for the mind and your health.

Monica Ingham [RN BSN, AHC, RYT 200] entered the yoga community with over 20 years of experience as a nurse. She is a Kripalu-trained Certified Ayurvedic Health Counselor and Vishudha Yoga Teacher certified with Yoga Alliance. Ayur-Yoga focuses on learning core postures to align one's energies, and adds flexibility to the body through mild and gentle stretches while incorporating the Ayurvedic principles of living in harmony with nature. Monica offers yoga classes and private Ayurvedic counseling at the Healing Creative Studio in Salem.

Gabi Singh became a Kripalu yoga instructor 11 years ago. Kripalu remains the foundation of her teachings while expanding her understanding of yoga with integrated principles of Hatha and Vinyasa. Gabi is a seasoned, skilled and sensitive instructor who created a gentle and safe environment for students to learn and listen to the wisdom of their bodies.
